Open Source Software (OSS) Movement Microanalysis

Looking at the OSS Movement's "World Domination 201" Manifesto In Detail

Fixation on hating Microsoft, misunderstanding of the importance of the operating-sytem layer, and a lack of market research dooms movement as next disruptive technology era emerges (see figure).

COMMENT now!!
This IT Investment Research micro-analysis of the open source software (OSS) movement philosophy is broader than a look at just IT investment opportunity because the OSS document called "World Domination 201" on which this micro-analysis focuses applies to many aspects of the IT market in addition to investment opportunites, and includes broad assumptions about the past and future of computing.  I have recently completed a for-purchase analysis of the OSS movement's effect on the IT Top 12 (information and free sample available here) but this micro-analysis focuses on one very small but interesting sliver of that overall research.
